Café Sunflower

We went to Cafe Sunflower for Valentine's Day and y'all... you have got to go if you get the chance. Long story short, it was delicious and we will be going back.

Cafe Sunflower has two locations** in Georgia. One in Buckhead and one in Sandy Springs. We visited the Sandy Springs location. Both locations have Gluten-free, Soy-free, and Nut-free options. https://www.cafesunflower.com/

The Sunflower Box

We started off with the Sunflower Box which included the Basil Rolls, Pot Stickers, Spaghetti Squash Cake, Red Pepper Hummus, Pita Triangles, and Spring Rolls (one roll cut in half length-wise).

The pot stickers tasted great, like many potstickers. Everything else had a really unique flavor. One of our favorite items in the box was the basil roll. It came in a sweet and spicy ginger sauce that was delicious.

Wild Mushroom Fettuccine

For dinner, we ordered the Wild Mushroom Fettuccine, one of the night's specials that is not on the regular menu. The fettuccine came with a variety of mushrooms in a mushroom stock. It was wonderful and the mushrooms were perfection. The mushroom stock was rich and flavorful and a great compliment to the fettuccine.

Roasted Portobello Wellington

We also had the Roasted Portobello Wellington. The wellington was served on what seemed to be a red pepper sauce. When cut open, the wellington was layered with portobello mushroom, red peppers, and a plant-based meat/lentil patty. It came with a side of asparagus and dragon fruit (pitaya). We ate every bite off these plates.

Caramel Cake

Dessert. DESSERT! Fantastic and the perfect finish to a great meal. We had the caramel cake and it was decadent. We haven't had many good vegan caramels but this was an awesome rendition.

This was a great end to our date night. We look forward to visiting Cafe Sunflower again!

**Edit: Since this was posted, Cafe Sunflower has closed the Sandy Springs location and now only has the Buckhead location.
